Refund policy

RETURN & REFUND POLICY AGREEMENT

This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) constitutes a binding agreement between BuderBoard™ (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the purchaser (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) governing the return, refund, or replacement of cutting boards and related products sold by the Company.

By placing an order, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms set forth below.

SECTION 1. Return Eligibility Window

The Company accepts return requests only within fourteen (14) calendar days from the confirmed delivery date of the product.

Return requests submitted after this period will not be considered.

SECTION 2. Condition of Returned Products

Due to the nature of handcrafted, food-contact wooden products, all returned items must be in new, unused, and resale-ready condition.

A product is ineligible for return if it has been:

  • Used in any manner, including but not limited to cutting, chopping, or food preparation

  • Washed, rinsed, soaked, or exposed to moisture

  • Oiled, waxed, conditioned, or treated with any substance

  • Modified, sanded, engraved, altered, or repaired

  • Exposed to odors, staining agents, or improper storage conditions

Any board showing signs of use will be refused and is not eligible for refund or replacement.

This standard is consistent with premium cutting board manufacturers and food-safe product policies.

SECTION 3. Non-Returnable Items (Final Sale)

The following items are final sale and non-returnable, except in cases of verified damage or manufacturing defect upon delivery:

  • Custom, personalized, or made-to-order boards (including engravings or size modifications)

  • Clearance, discounted, or marked “final sale” items

  • Gift cards or digital products

SECTION 4. Return Authorization Requirement

All returns require prior written authorization from the Company.

To request authorization, the Customer must provide:

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

  • Clear photographic evidence of the product’s current condition

Returns shipped without authorization may be refused and returned to sender at the Customer’s expense.

SECTION 5. Return Shipping & Costs

To minimize unnecessary expense and waste:

  • The Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs for non-defective items

  • The Customer assumes responsibility for proper packaging and safe transit

  • The Company is not liable for damage incurred during return shipment

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

SECTION 6. Inspection & Approval

All authorized returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.

If the product:

  • Meets all eligibility requirements → refund approval proceeds

  • Fails inspection → refund is denied and the item may be returned at the Customer’s expense

The Company’s inspection determination is final.

SECTION 7. Refund Method & Timing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days following inspection and approval.
Processing time may vary depending on the Customer’s financial institution.

SECTION 8. Damaged or Defective Items

If a product arrives damaged or defective, the Customer must notify the Company within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery and provide:

  • Photographs of the product

  • Photographs of the original packaging and shipping container

Upon verification, the Company may, at its discretion:

  • Replace the item

  • Repair the item

  • Issue a refund

The Company does not assume responsibility for damage caused by misuse, improper care, or post-delivery handling.

SECTION 9. No Exchanges

To reduce handling and processing costs, the Company does not offer direct exchanges.

Customers may place a new order once a return (if eligible) has been completed.

SECTION 10. Acknowledgment of Food-Contact Standards

Customer acknowledges that wooden cutting boards are food-contact items, and that any use compromises resale eligibility for sanitation, safety, and quality reasons.

This policy exists to protect all customers and maintain premium quality standards.

SECTION 11. Policy Modifications

The Company reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time.
The version in effect at the time of purchase shall govern the transaction.
